ACADEMIC MAJOR:   Pre-Med/ Chemistry & History

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Jason Young ran his third season of cross country at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015. He earned his third varsity letter. Jason also is expected to run his third season of track and field this winter (indoors) and spring (outdoors). He hopes to earn his first letter in track.

GENERAL X-COUNTRY INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2012-2013, Jason ran his first season of cross country and earned his first varisty letter. His best 8K race came at the Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble where he placed 236th with a time of 28:27.70. He also finished 108th at Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Meet. He did not run at the All-Ohio or NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional meets.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Jason competed in his second season of cross country and earned his second letter. He finished 123rd at the All-Ohio Meet in 31:45.43. He did not compete at the OAC Championship or NCAA Div. III Great Lakes Regional meets.

As a junior in 2014-2015, Jason ran his third season of cross country and earned his third letter. He competed at five of eight meets. Jason placed 140th at the OAC Championship Meet in 35:59.05. He did not run at either the All-Ohio Meet or the NCAA Div. III Great Lakes Regional meets.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Jason grew up in Parma, Ohio and graduated from Parma Normandy High School.

Jason ran track for four years, cross country for three years, and was on the swim team for four years.

In swimming, Jason was selected All-Northeast Ohio Conference all four seasons.

In cross country, Jason earned All-NOC honors for three seasons.

In track and field, Jason received Academic All-NOC honors.

Academically, Jason received Highest Honors (2008-2012) and Magna Cum Laude (2011-2012). He also graduated with honors (2012).
