ACADEMIC MAJOR: History

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Alex Fuhrmann ran his third season of cross country at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015. The two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference runner earned third varsity letter. Alex also is competing in his third season of track this winter (indoor) and spring (outdoor).

ACADEMIC HONORS:  Alex carries a 3.575 grade point average, is a Dean's List student and Jacket Scholar. He also is a member of the Chi Sigma Alpha Honor Society.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, he earned Academic All-OAC honors in track. As a junior in 2014-2015, Alex earned Academic All-OAC accolades in cross country.

GENERAL CROSS COUNTRY INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2012-2013, Alex competed in his first season of cross country and earned his first varsity letter. He ran his best 8K race at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble where he finished 234th with a time of 28:24.30. Alex also competed at the season-ending OAC Championship Meet and finished 120th in 29:50.2.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Alex competed in his second season of cross country and earned his second letter. At the All-Ohio Meet, he finished 118th in 31:03.99, placed 117th at the OAC Championship Meet with a season best time of 29:27.7 and was 222nd at the NCAA Division III Regional Meet in 30:22. 

As a junior in 2014-2015, Alex ran his third season of cross country and earned his third varsity letter. He earned Academic All-OAC honors for the second straight year. Alex finished 199th at the All-Ohio Meet (29:57.17), 91st at the OAC Championships (30:19.12) and 192nd at the NCAA Div. III GReat Lakes Regional Meet (27:58.8).

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Alex grew up in Painesville, Ohio and graduated from Painesville Riverside High School.

Alex competed in three years of cross country and earned three varsity letters. Alex also ran track for four years and earned four varsity letters.
