ACADEMIC MAJOR: Management/ Marketing

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:   Ben Deighton played his fourth season of men's soccer at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015. He earned his fourth varsity letter.

GENERAL SOCCER INFORMATION:  Ben played four years of varsity soccer and earned four varsity letters. He helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 40-33-8 record and helped BW make its first-ever NCAA Division III National Tournament appearance.

Individually, Ben played in 74 career games, took 149 shots, including 69 on-goal, scored 20 goals and had six assists for 46 career points.

As a freshman in 2011-2012, Ben played his first season of soccer and earned his first varsity letter. He played in all 22 games, including four starts, took 32 shots, including 12 on-goal, scored five goals and had one assist for 11 points. Ben helped BW have its best year in school history with a school-record 16 victories and a 16-6 overall record and its first-ever NCAA Division III National Tournament appearance.

As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Ben played his second season of soccer and earned his second letter. He played in 16 games, including 15 starts, took 31 shots, including 17 on-goal, scored 6 goals and had three assists for 15 points. BW finished 7-6-4 overall.

As a junior in 2013-2014, Ben played his third season of soccer and earned his third letter. He played in 20 games, took 48 shots, including 20 on-goal, scored three goals and had one assist for seven points. BW finished 7-11-3 overall.

As a senior in 2014-2015, Ben played his fourth season of soccer and earned his fourth letter. He played in 16 games, took a team-leading 38 shots, including a team-high-tying 20 on-goal, scored a team-high six goals, added one assist for 13 points. BW finished 10-10-1 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Ben grew up in Richfield, Ohio and graduated from Richfield Revere High School.

Ben played four years of soccer and earned three varsity letters. Ben also played one year of football and earned a letter.

As a junior and senior, Ben was named first-team All-Suburban League. He was named second-team All-District as a senior when he scored 13 goals and had 18 assists for 44 points. Ben led the Minutemen to the OHSAA Division II State Championship.
