Kroeger Earns First Career OAC Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week Accolade

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse freshman attacker Zakary Kroeger (Cincinnati /Archbishop Moeller) has been selected as the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career.

Kroeger earns his first weekly accolade after scoring a game-high six goals and adding an assist for a game-best seven points in BW's (12-1, 9-0 OAC) regular season finale 14-4 victory over Marietta College on Saturday.

This season, he has appeared in all 13 games with 12 starts.  Kroeger is third on the team and fifth in the OAC in goals with 28 and is third on the squad and 12th in the league in scoring with 35 points.  He is also seventh on the team with seven assists.  Kroeger has also recorded 14 ground balls and has caused two turnovers.

The Yellow Jackets, who were the OAC Regular Season Champions and the top-seed in the OAC Tournament, are back in action on Thursday, May 6 when they host an OAC Tournament semifinal game against the lowest remaining seed from Tuesday, May 4 semifinal contests on the Lou Groza Field at the Roehm Athletic Complex at 7 p.m.
