AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University freshman men's lacrosse attacker Gunner MacMillan (Henrietta, N.Y. /Rush Henrietta) has been selected as the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week.
MacMillan scored five goals to help BW to a 10-7 season opening victory over the University of Mount Union inside Mount Union Stadium last Saturday afternoon.
The six-foot attacker scored his first collegiate goal six minutes in the first quarter. MacMillan added two more goals in the first half to give the Yellow Jackets a 5-4 at the intermission. He found the back of the cage one more time in the third stanza. MacMillan tacked on his final goal when he closed out the game's scoring with 2:31 left.
BW is back in action on Saturday, March 6 when it hosts crosstown rival John Carroll in an Ohio Athletic Conference and home opener on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium at 1 p.m.
