BW Wrestler Andrew Scavuzzo is OAC Player of the Week

BEREA, OHIO -- NCAA Div. III wrestling national qualifier Andrew Scavuzzo (Cuyahoga Falls/ Woodridge) is this week's (November 22, 2010) Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week, respectively, for her efforts last weekend.  This marks the second time for Scavuzzo.

At the Mt. Union Duals, Scavuzzo earned a major decision over Lycoming (Pa.) College's Jefferson Thomas, 11-2; won another major decision with a 10-0 whitewash of King (Pa.) College's Jerry Robbins; pinned the College Mt. St. Joseph's Justin Meineke in 2:05; and scored a technical fall against Wilkes (Pa.) University's Mike Bowersox en route to his 4-0 slate. With his four wins, Scavuzzo improved to 9-0 this season and now owns a 61-31 career slate.

The Yellow Jacket wrestlers are back in action on Tuesday, November 30 when they open their home schedule against NCAA Division II Tiffin University in the Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasium in the Lou Higgins Center at 7:30 p.m.
