Men's Volleyball Jumps to 18th in Latest AVCA Coaches Poll

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's volleyball team has jumped to 18th in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 20 Poll.

BW, who was ranked 20th last week, jumps up two spots tying the highest ranking in program history. The Yellow Jackets are the only Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League team ranked in the poll.

BW enters this week with a record of 5-1  after cruising past Geneva (Pa.) College in a three-set sweep and taking down No. 17 nationally ranked Benedictine (Ill.) University by a score of 3-1 at the Baldwin Wallace Tri-match this past weekend. 

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday, February 9 and Saturday, February 10 as they travel to Geneva, N.Y. for the Statemen Volleyball Classic hosted by Hobart (N.Y.) College. BW will take on Hobart in a non-conference matchup at 7 p.m. on Friday and on Saturday will face No. 16 nationally ranked Misericordia (Pa.) University at 11 a.m. and No. 1 nationally ranked Wentworth (Mass.) Institute of Technology at 1 p.m. inside Bristol Gymnasium.
