ASHLAND, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's outdoor track and field team competed at the 14th Ashland Alumni Open, hosted by NCAA Division ll Ashland University. The meet was unscored.

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:

• Junior Nick Young (Wadsworth) placed fourth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 50.09.
• Freshman Nick Marcovitch (San Antonio, Texas / Claudia Taylor Johnson) finished 10th in the 800-meter run in a time of 1:58.50.

Field events highlights:

• Junior All-American high jumper Christian Pfeiffer (Amherst) won the high jump for the fourth consecutive time with a mark of 2.11 meters. Pfeiffer's height places him first in the nation.
• Junior Kaleu Tellas (Indianapolis, Ind. / International School of Indiana) finished third in the shot put with a distance of 15.57 meters. Tellas also placed third in the hammer throw with a mark of 53.52 meters.
• Freshman Kitar Olsen (Whitefish, Mont.) placed fourth in the discus throw with a mark of 41.69 meters.

On the relay side:

• In the 4x100 meter relay crew, the Yellow Jackets finished sixth in a time of 42.78.

BW is back in action on Thursday, May 2 for day one of the Ohio Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships hosted by Heidelberg University.
