Men’s Tennis Shuts Out Westminster (Pa.)

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team shutout Westminster College in a non-conference match by a final score of 9-0 one the Westminster Tennis Courts.

BW (11-3) won all three doubles matches and all six singles matches over  Westminster (1-4).

Doubles

  • Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC Matt McGee (Ottawa Hills) and sophomore All-OAC Will Horvath (Oregon/Clay) won at first singles by a score of 8-1
  • Sophomores Henry Harders (Ottawa Hills) and Jacob Weingart (Tiffin/Columbian) won at second doubles by a score of 8-1
  • Junior All-OAC Aidan Hicks (Oneida, N.Y.) and Sophomore Gavin Binni (Sylvania/Northview) won at third double by a score of 8-0

Singles

  • McGee won at first singles by scores 6-1 and 6-0
  • Horvath won at second singles by scores of 6-0 and 6-1
  • Binni won at third singles by scores of 6-2 and 6-1
  • Weingart won at fourth singles by scores of 6-0 and 6-1
  • Harders won at fifth singles by identical scores of 6-1
  • Sophomore Joe Donnelly (Lodi/Cloverleaf) won at sixth singles by scores of 6-2 and 6-1

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Sunday, April 7 when they travel to Marietta for a rescheduled OAC match against Marietta College inside the Beren Tennis Center at 11:30 a.m.
