Women's Cross Country Team Finishes 19th at Great Lakes Championships

HOLLAND, Mich. – The Baldwin Wallace University women's cross country team ended a successful season  of growth and maturity as it finished 19th at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championship Meet hosted by Hope (Mich.) College at the West Ottawa Golf Course.  The young Yellow Jackets and second-year Head Coach Joe Eby all made great strides toward improvement for the second consecutive season.

BW finished 19th of 31 teams with 504 points. Calvin (Mich.) College was the champion with 90 points. 

The Yellow Jackets were paced by sophomore two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference runner Kelly Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit) as she finished 23rd of 232 runners in a time of 22:37.4 to earn All-Great Lakes Region honors for the second straight season. 

In addition to Brennan, freshman Bella Pendola (Warsaw/River View) placed 77th in a time of 23:49.1.  Sophomore Hannah Fredriksen (Hamburg, N.Y.) took 117th in a time of 24:30.0.   Freshman Claire Makowski (Bethel Park, Pa.) was 127th in a time of 24:39.9. Freshman Hannah Nagy (Belmont/Linsly) finished 160th in a time of 25:28.9.
