Women’s Lacrosse Picked Fifth in OAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse team was picked fifth in the 2024 Ohio Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll. 

BW comes in at fifth after receiving 24 points. The defending OAC regular season champions University of Mount Union got the top spot with 47 points and five first-place votes. The defending OAC Tournament champions Capital University came in a close second with 43 points and two first-place votes. John Carroll University placed third with 39 points and one first-place vote, while Marietta College rounded out the top five, totaling 29 points in the fourth-place spot. 

Seventh-year Head Coach Nicolle Shoger returns 14 letterwinners, four Academic All-OAC selections and two All-OAC performers from last year's squad that posted an overall record of 3-13 and a 1-6 mark in the OAC. 

The Yellow Jackets open the 2024 season at home as they host a non-conference matchup against Centre (Ky.) College on Saturday, Feb. 17. The game is set to begin at 11:00 a.m. on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium.
