MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference guard Emily Irwin (Pickerington/Pataskala Watkins Memorial) of the No. 17/22 nationally-ranked Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball team has been selected to the 2023 D3hoops.com All-Region 7 third-team. 

This season, Irwin notched 313 points, averaging the most per game on the team (11.6) and fifth in the OAC, earning her first-team honors in the OAC. Irwin also led the team in made three pointers (46), had the highest shooting percentage from beyond the arc, and had the third highest shooting percentage from the field.

Irwin notched her career-high of 29 points in the OAC Tournament Semifinal at Marietta College and was named to the OAC All-Tournament Team. This season she totaled 45 rebounds, 40 steals (led the team), and 51 assists (second on the team). 

In her career, Irwin averages 8.91 points per game, and has totaled 481 points, 91 assists, 71 rebounds, and 57 steals. She is a two-time OAC All-Tournament team selection and notched double-digit points in each of the five postseason games last season. Off the court, Irwin is dean's list student and a Jacket Scholar. 

Irwin and the BW women's basketball team concluded the year with its loss in the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball National Tournament on Friday, March 3. The Yellow Jackets earned an at-large bid into its fourth straight and 17th overall appearance into the NCAA Tournament. BW finished the 2022-23 season with an overall record of 22-6 and a mark of 14-4 in the OAC.
