Three Men's Tennis Athletes Land on All-OAC Team

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Three Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis student-athletes have been selected to the All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

Landing on the first team was senior Dominic Polifrone (Hudson). Senior Matt Harris (Akron/Revere) earned a second team spot and slotted in as an honorable mention selection was junior Jake Elbin (Findlay).

Earning his fourth consecutive conference selection, Polifrone held a 15-4 singles record and an 18-2 mark at doubles. His singles career record of 78-20 moves him to No. 9 on BW's All-Time Singles Wins Leaderboard and his 81-24 doubles mark slots him at No. 8 all-time. The senior has also garnered two OAC Men's Player of the Week accolades, two Academic All-OAC selections, and two Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athlete honors. His 24-3 singles record in 2015 ranks tied for 10th all-time for wins in a season and his 24 double wins in 2015 ranks fifth all-time for doubles wins in a season.

Harris earns his third straight all-conference honor after being tabbed second team last season. The senior led BW with a 16-3 singles record at No. 2 singles and owns an 18-2 mark at No. 1 doubles. Harris is also a two-time Academic All-OAC selection, a two-time ITA Scholar Athlete, and earned an OAC Player of the Week in his final campaign. For his career, he has accumulated a singles record of 53-17 and a doubles record of 74-25, which ties him at 23rd all-time for singles and 9th all-time in doubles.

Elbin garners his second consecutive all-conference honor after earning honorable mention as a sophomore. At No. 3 singles he posted a mark of 14-5, which tied him for third on the squad, and at No. 2 doubles he has a 12-7 record. The junior was an ITA Scholar Athlete as a freshman and for his career he has compiled a 46-13 singles record and a 38-23 mark in doubles play.

BW finished the season with a 15-6 overall record in 2018-19. The team posted a 3-4 mark in conference action before falling in the first round of the OAC Tournament.
