BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College senior three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference forward Carlin Vandendriessche (Medina) has been named as OAC Men's Soccer Player-of-the-Week for his performance during the week of September 19-25, 2011.  This marks the third time in his career and second time this season that he has earned the weekly honor.

Vandendriessche tallied two goals and three assists to lead the 16th-ranked (NSCAA Division III Coaches poll) Yellow Jacket men to wins against Allegheny (Pa.) College, 4-2,  on Sept. 21, and at Westminster (Pa.) College, 3-1.  Against Allegheny, he recorded one goal and two assists for three points, and finished the week with a goal and an assist at Westminster.

With his first goal of the week,  Vandendriessche became the all-time leading goal scorer in Yellow Jacket history with 37 passing Jeff Schenk (1983-86).  He also ranks third with 85 career points (38 goals and nine assists)  and is just one point shy of tying Pete Angelokostopoulos' (1997-2000) for second all-time at 86.  Vandendriessche needs seven points to tie Schenk atop the all-time scoring list with 92 points.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action tomorrow night, Tuesday September 27 when they play host to the College of Mount St. Joseph in the second game of a men's and women's soccer doubleheader at 7:00 p.m.  This Saturday, October 1, the B-W men and women are at home to play a doubleheader against Marietta College. The women kickoff at 1:00 p.m. and the men play at 3:30 p.m.
