Four Men's Basketball Student-Athletes Selected to Academic All-OAC Team

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Four Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball student-athletes have been selected to the Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

In order to be selected to the Academic All-OAC team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.

Junior guard Michael Quiring (Brunswick), junior forward Jack Lostoski (Uniontown/Lake), junior guard Troy Massa (Parma/Normandy) and junior forward Jake Elbin (Findlay) are four of the 23 Yellow Jacket student-athletes to be recognized this winter.

Quiring, who earns his second career Academic All-OAC honor, is a finance major who carries a 3.79 cumulative GPA. He is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and the 2017-18 recipient of the BW Academic Excellence Award for having the highest GPA on the team. For his career, Quiring has appeared in 85 games with 62 starts and averages 9.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.

Lostoski, who also garners his second straight Academic All-OAC accolade, is a business administration major who carries a 3.65 GPA. A Dean's List student and a Jacket scholar, Lostoski has appeared in 38 games in his career and averages 2.9 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.

Massa, who was named to his second Academic All-OAC team, is a sport management major who carries a 3.53 GPA. He is a Dean's List student and Jacket Scholar. In his career, Massa has appeared in 21 games and has scored eight points, grabbed four rebounds, dished out eight assists, made two steals and blocked one shot.

Elbin, who earns his first Academic All-OAC honor, is a sport management major who carries a 3.52 GPA. A member of the BW tennis team, he is an Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar Athlete in addition to being a Dean's List student. For his career, Elbin has appeared in nine basketball games and has scored nine points, nabbed seven rebounds and blocked one shot.
