BALDWIN WALLACE INFORMATION:

SPORTS PLAYED AT BW (YEARS AND LETTERS WON): Jimmy Basar played four seasons of football, earned three varsity letters and started at center for three seasons. He also served as a team captain in 2011-12.

ACADEMIC HONORS: Jimmy was a strong student who carried a 3.28 grade point average.  He earned a Presidential Scholarship. As a junior in 2010-2011, Jimmy was honored with the Dr. Emory C. Unnewehr Award for his excellence in mathematics and physics. As a senior in 2011-12, Jimmy was B-W's National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award winner.

ATHLETIC HONORS:   As a senior, Jimmy was a team captain and earned second-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors.

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION: Jimmy had a strong four-year football career at Baldwin-Wallace College. He was a three-year starter at center and earned three varsity letters. He also served as a team captain as a senior. His best season was as a senior when he earned second-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors and was named as B-W's receipient of the National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award.

As a freshman in 2008, Jimmy played in his first season of football and saw playing time on the junior varsity squad.

As a sophomore in 2009, Jimmy  played in his second season of football. He earned a starting spot on the offensive line at center and played in all 10 games.

As a junior in 2010, Jimmy played his third season of football, earned his second varsity letter and started at center. He helped the Yellow Jackets to compile a 7-3 record. 

As a senior in 2011, Jimmy played his fourth season of football, earned his third letter, served as a team captain and started at center for the third straight year.  He helped the Yellow Jackets to compile an 8-2 record and a final No.24 ranking in the Division III polls (AFCA and d3football.com).  Jimmy helped B-W to score 30.2 points and average 371 yards of total offense per game. For his efforts, Jimmy was a second-team All-OAC selection and was tabbed as B-W's National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete.
