    BEREA, OHIO -- Two Baldwin-Wallace College Football standout student-athletes, junior defensive back Matt Bowen (Tiffin/ Columbian) and senior offensive lineman Dan Paterline (Reynoldsburg), have been named to the 2010 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team. Bowen was tabbed Academic All-OAC and Paterline was named to the honorable mention squad. Both played key roles as the Yellow Jackets finished 7-3 overall and third in the OAC.

    Aaron Hurd is a northwest Ohio guy playing in northeast Ohio. Baldwin-Wallace's junior tight end, a Columbian graduate, said players from this area don't always get the respect they deserve, with so many Yellow Jacket players coming from Cleveland-area schools. He and B-W cornerback Matt Bowen, a fellow TC grad, have come to feel they are representing not just a school, but an entire region.

    BEREA, OHIO -- Sitting in a doctor's office inside Children's Hospital was a 14-year-old Tyler Lohr. The date was April 1, 2005, and he had just been diagnosed with type 1 juvenile diabetes. He looked straight into the eyes of his mother and said, "I will play high school football, and I will play college football. I will do whatever I have to do in order to make it happen."

The shutout was B-W's first since a 17-0 whitewash of OAC rival Capital University in the final game of the 2008 season.
