ACADEMIC MAJOR: Business Administration

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Arlayna Newcomer played her second season of volleyball at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015. She earned her second varsity letter.

ACADEMIC HONORS:  Arlayna carries a 3.52 grade point average, is a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar. As a sophomore in 2014-2015, she earned Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors.

ATHLETIC HONORS:    As a freshman in 2013-2014, Arlayna was voted as the BW "Rookie of the Year".

GENERAL VOLLEYBALL INFORMATION:   As a freshman in 2013-2014, Arlayna played in her first season of volleyball and earned her first varsity letter.  She saw playing time as the libero.  Arlayna appeared in 24 matches and 67 sets, had 288 digs, 25 service aces and 11 assists. BW finished 11-18 overall.

As a sophomore in 2014-2015, Arlayna played her second season of volleyball and earned her second letter. She started at libero. Arlayna played in all 30 matches and 114 sets and had a team-leading 660 digs and 50 aces and contributed 20 set assists. BW finished 15-15 overall.

HIGH SCHOOL BACKGROUND:  Arlayna Newcomer grew up in Norwalk, Ohio and graduated from Norwalk St. Paul High School.

Arlayna played four years of both volleyball and basketball and earned two varsity letters in each sport. She also played three years of softball and earned two varsity letters.

In basketball, Arlayna was named first-team All-Firelands Conference, honorable mention All-District and was named as the St. Paul H.S. Most Valuable Offensive Player during her senior season.

Academically, Arlayna received first-team Academic All-Firelands Conference honors in volleyball, basketball and softball. She also was a member of Key Club, received a Award of Merit and an Award of Excellence from the OHSAA (Ohio High School Athletic Association).
