Michalski Named Women’s Tennis Coach

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University Director of Athletics Steve Thompson has announced the hiring of TJ Michalski as the University's new head women's tennis coach.

"We are excited to have TJ lead our women's tennis team," stated Thompson.  "His knowledge and passion for the game of tennis will help guide our program to new levels."

Michalski, who is no stranger to the BW campus, was an assistant coach under veteran men's head tennis coach Brian Rector '89 last spring.  Off the tennis court, he has been an E-learning producer with the Department of Veteran Affairs for 26 years.

"I am very excited to begin my journey as the head women's tennis coach of the Baldwin Wallace," commented Michalski. "I've been competing, instructing, and coaching tennis for most of my life, and I look forward to passing on my knowledge and experience to the team.

Michalski was a personal tennis coach for the two years and a tennis instructor at Paramount Tennis Club for two years.   He also was the summer camp tennis instructor at Amherst Hills Tennis Academy in Buffalo, New York for three years.

Michalski earned an Associate of Arts degree in design and visual communications from the Pittsburg Institute of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts from LeMoyne College.

He and his wife, Jill, have two children.
