ACADEMIC MAJOR:   Pre-Physical Theapy

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:   Mackenzi Baker played four seasons of women's tennis at Baldwin Wallace University. The two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference student-athlete earned varsity letters. 

ACADEMICS:  Mackenzi carried a 3.44 grade point average and was a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar. She also was a member of the Chi Sigma Alpha Honor Society.

ACADEMIC ALL-OAC:  As a sophomore in 2013-2014 and junior in 2014-2015, Mackenzi earned Academic All-OAC honors.

THROUGH-THE-YEARS:   Mackenzi played four years of tennis and earned four varsity letters. During her four seasons, BW had a 37-54 overall record, including an 11-10 mark as a freshman and 14-10 slate as a senior. BW also had a four-year OAC record of 18-16.

Individually, Mackenzi was a varsity contributor for four years in doubles and two seasons in singles. In doubles play, she had a 31-48 career record.  In singles play, she had a 10-34 record. 

As a freshman in 2012-2013, Mackenzi played her first season of tennis and earnedher first varsity letter. She played No. 6 singles and compiled a 7-13 overall record She also played on the No. 2 doubles team with her sister Morgan Baker (Vermilion/ Elyria Catholic) and finished 10-15 overall. BW finished 11-10 overall and 6-3 in the OAC.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Mackenzi played her second season of tennis and earned her second letter. She played No.5 singles and compiled a 3-15 record. She also teammed with a number of doubles partners and had a combined mark of 12-15. She earned Academic All-OAC honors. BW finished 7-16 overall and 3-5 in the OAC.

As a junior in 2014-2015, Mackenzi played her third season of tennis and earned her third letter. She split time at No.6 singles and combined with Claire Watts '17 as the No.2 doubles tandem. She had a 0-7 mark in singles and combined with Watts for a 6-18 slate in doubles. Mackenzi earned her second straight Academic All-OAC honor. BW finished 5-18 overall and 4-4 in the OAC.

As a senior in 2015-2016, Mackenzi played her fourth season of tennis and earned her fourth letter. She did not compete in singles and had a 4-1 mark in doubles. BW finished 14-10 overall and 5-3 in the OAC.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Mackenzi Baker grew up in Vermilion, Ohio and graduated from Elyria Catholic High School.

Mackenzi played four years of tennis and earned four letters. Mackenzi also earned the West Shore Conference Sportsmanship award.

In addition to her athletics exploits, Mackenzi was a member of First Honors, Student Ambassadors and the National Honor Society.
