Women's All-OAC Team 

BEREA, OHIO -- Junior women's tennis standout Rebecca Mittler (Elyria/Elyria Catholic) has been selected on this year's Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference teams. This is the second straight year that Mittler has received this award.

Student-athletes are nominated and selected by the Faculty Athletics Representatives of each school.  To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum 3.25 grade point average, be a starter or key reserve who has appeared in more than half of his/ her teams games/ events.

Mitler, who carries a 3.56 grade point average in middle childhood education, has been a key member of the women's tennis team the past three years and has helped the Yellow Jackets win an OAC regular season title, two OAC Tournament titles and a pair of berths in the NCAA Division III National Tournament.  This season, she split time between the No.1 and No.2 singles position and played No.1 doubles. In singles this season, Mittler had a 12-12 record, and she combined with sophomore Morgan Baker (Vermilion/ Elyria Catholic) in the doubles to compile a 9-14 record. She will enter her senior season with a 43-34 career singles and 47-35 doubles record. The 47 singles wins ties her for 12th all-time and the 47 doubles triumphs are 15th. In the classroom, Mittler is a Dean's List student and Jacket Scholar, a member of the Alpha Lambda, Kappa Mu Epsilon and Chi Sigma Alpha honor societies, a member of Teaching Together, the Roteract Service Club and the BUZZ Admissions Student Ambassadors.
