AKRON, Ohio – Junior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC stroker Mallory Dondorfer (Mentor) and freshman diver (Madison/Painesville Riverside) each won an Ohio Athletic Conference Championship as the Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving team finished in third place at the three-day Ohio Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Wilmington College inside the Ocasek Natatorium on the campus of the University of Akron.
BW, who had nine All-OAC performers, three OAC Champions and one All-OAC relay team, was third of six teams with 499 points. John Carroll University won its eighth straight OAC title with 912 points.
Individuals
- Dondorfer claimed her third career championship, earned her eighth career OAC accolade and third of the championships as she won in a career-best time of 2:11.24
- Steen earned her second career All-OAC honor as she claimed the title in the 1-meter with a career-best 373.20 points
- Freshman All-OAC diver Isabel Hershkovicz (Strongsville) earned her second career All-OAC honor as she was third in the 1-meter with a career-best 338.40 points
- Senior All-OAC stroker Tia Reed (Bluffton, S.C.) finished fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:31.90
- Freshman freestyler Melina Roberts (Westlake) earned her first career All-OAC honor as she placed third in the 200-yard butterfly in a career-best time of 2:16.52. Roberts also finished seventh in the 1650-yard freestyle in a career-best time of 19:24.36
- Sophomore stroker Morgan Ingalls (Erie, Pa./Harbor Creek) was eighth in the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:16.46
- Sophomore freestyler Rachel Fibbi (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) took 13th in the 100-yard freestyle in a career-best time of 57.04
Relays
- The 400-yard freestyle unit of Dondorfer, Fibbi, senior Academic All-OAC freestyler Lauren Slife (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) and sophomore freestyler Ariel Lisy (Strongsville) placed fourth in a time of 3:46.27
