BEREA, OHIO – Three Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving student-athletes were named as Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference announced today by the league office. Each honoree must be at least a sophomore and carry a 3.5 grade-point-average.
Senior All-American diver diver Julie Pinter (Broadview Heights/Brecksville-Broadview Heights).Pinter, junior Angela Musille (Canton/Glen Oak) and sophomore Emily Payne (Ligonier, Pa./Ligonier Valley) are representing the women's swimming and diving teams.
Pinter, who earned Academic All-OAC honors for the third straight season, has a 3.79 GPA majoring in disorders. The six-time OAC champion, three-time OAC Diver of the Year, and seven-time OAC Diver-of-the-Week reset the school records in the one-meter dive at Wilmington College on Oct. 27 and the three-meter dive against Hiram College on Nov. 3. Pinter finished her career a six-time All-American, including nods each in the one-meter and three-meter divers, and was the runner-up at the NCAA Division III National Championships last season.
Musille, a disorders major with a 3.9 GPA, set personal bests this season in the 50-yard breaststroke (32.17), 100-yard (1:07.98) and 400-yard (4:46.10). She is a two-time OAC champion after setting school and conference records in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke at the 2012 OAC Championships, and also holds school records in the 200-yard individual medley and 200-yard freestyle relay.
