BEREA, Ohio -- Baldwin Wallace University senior two-time  All-Ohio Athletic Conference and two-time Academic All-OAC midfielder Margo Laseak (Mentor) was named as a first-team All-Great Lakes Region selection by the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America).

Laseak, an early childhood education major who carries a 3.68 grade point average, helped to lead the Yellow Jackets to a school-record-tying 14 wins and a 14-5-1 record this fall. The four-year starter, by virtue of her first-team selection, is now eligible for this year's Division III All-America team.

As a senior in 2013-14, Laseak played and started in all 20 matches, took 31 shots, including 15 on goal and had three assists for three points. She also was a key part of a defense that allowed just 1.13 goals-per-game.

During her career, Laseak played in and started all 80 games and helped BW to compile a 39-30-11 record. Offensively, she had four assists and defensively helped the Yellow Jackets to allow just 1.14 goals-per-game with 23 shutouts.  As a freshman, she was the BW "Rookie of the Year". After missing her junior season with an injury, Laseak earned All-OAC and Academic All-OAC accolades as a red-shirt junior and senior.

In addition to her exploits on the field, Laseak is a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of a pair of academic honoraries.
