ACADEMIC MAJOR:  Business Administration

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Jaleel Richardson competed in three seasons of wrestling at Baldwin Wallace University, earned a varsity letter and was a member of the 2016 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship team.

ACADEMIC HONORS:  Jaleel is a Dean's List student and was a CIG (Center for Innovation & Growth) Student Fellow in 2014-2015.  

GENERAL WRESTLING INFORMATION: Jaleel wrestled for three seasons and earned one varsity letter (as a senior in 2015-2016). He battled for mat time at 133, 141 and 149 pounds and compiled a 9-38 record. Je helped BW to compile a 43-16 record in dual matches, win the 2016 OAC title and place an all-time-best second at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Tournament in '16.

As a freshman in 2012-2013, Jaleel sat out the season due to injury.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Jaleel competed in his first season of wrestling and received a certificate of participation for his efforts. He competed for mat time at 149/157 pounds. Jaleel had a 3-12 overall record with one takedown, 16 escapes and two reversals. BW finished 8-3 overall and 22nd at the 2014 NCAA Division III National Tournament.

As a junior in 2014-2015, Jaleel competed in his second season of wrestling and earned a certificate of participation. He had an overall record of 2-11 with six takedowns and 10 escapes. BW set a single-season school-record with 17 wins, finished 17-6 overall and 4-1 in OAC dual matches, won the 29th Annual John Summa Memorial Tournament, placed sixth at the NCAA Div. III Mideast Regional and 20th at the 2015 NCAA Div. III National

As a senior in 2015-2016, Jaleel competed in his third season of wrestling and earned his first varsity letter. He battled for mat time at 141 pounds with a number of others. Jaleel compiled a 4-15 record with one technical fall, six takedowns, 21 escapes, two reversals and eight total near falls. BW compiled a school-record 18 victories with an 18-8 overall record, won the OAC title with a perfect 5-0 record and placed an all-time best second at the NCAA Div. III Mideast Regional Tournament. BW also was 31st of 53 teams at the NCAA Division III National Championships.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Jaleel Richardson grew up in Copley, Ohio and graduated from Cpley High School.

Jaleel played football for one year, wrestled for four years and ran track for two years. He earned two varsity letters in wrestling.

Academically, Jaleel was a Scholar-Athlete.
