Mount Union College Wrestlers Defeat Baldwin Wallace University, 31-6, in Alliance

BEREA, OHIO -- The Mount Union College wrestling team defeated Baldwin Wallace College, 31-6, tonight (Tuesday, January 20, 2009) in an Ohio Athletic Conference dual meet in the Timken Physical Education Building in Alliance.

With its win, the Purple Raiders improve to 3-3 overall and 2-1 in the OAC.  With its loss, BW is now 2-18 overall and 0-4 in the OAC.

Individually for the Yellow Jackets, Jeremy Dom Brady scored his first victory of the season at 125 pounds with a 3-1 decision against Mount Union's Justin Loth.  Sophomore 174-pounder Andrew Scavuzzo (Cuyahoga Falls/ Woodridge) defeated Mount Union's Andy Jenkins, 6-4, to improve to 17-8 overall and 5-2 at 174 pounds.

The Yellow Jacket wrestlers are back in action next Tuesday, January 27 when they host OAC foe Ohio Northern University in the Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasium in the Lou Higgins Recreation Center in Berea at 7:30 p.m.
