Women's Golf Finished Sixth at the Eva Shorb Weiskopf Memorial

WOOSTER, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team placed sixth at the Eva Shorb Weiskopf Memorial hosted by The College of Wooster at the Wooster Country Club. 

BW was sixth of nine teams in the two-day outing with a total of 782 strokes on the par-72 and 5,630 yards Wooster Country Club layout. Wooster won with a total of 722 strokes.

The top five leading the Yellow Jackets:

  • Sophomore Morgan Briley (Brunswick) placed 10th with rounds of 99 and 89 with a total of 188.
  • Senior Kelly Linnabary (Westerville / Central) tied 18th and tallied rounds of 92 and 102 with a total of 194.
  • Freshmen Brooke Newsome (Clyde) tied for 30th while carding rounds of 103 and 98 with a total of 201.
  • Freshmen Lauren Neher (Norwalk / Edison) placed 35th with rounds of 101 and 104 with a total of 205.
  • Senior Leah Metzger (Ashland) tied for 36th place while carding rounds of 97 and 111 with a total of 208.

Playing as indivuduals:

  • Freshmen Steph Neff (Seven Hills / Padua Franciscan) tied 36th while carding rounds 103 and 105 with a total of 208
  • Freshmen Lexy Kovach (Strongsville / Magnificat) finished in 50th place and posted rounds of 127 and 119 for a total of 246.

BW is back in action on Saturday, April 9th when it travels to Hudson for the two-day outing at the John Carroll Spring Invitational at The Country Club of Hudson.
