KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Freshman Kelly Linnabary (Westerville/Central) fired a round of 85 and was the medalist as the Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team dropped a non-conference dual match to Trine (Ind.) University at the Kissimmee Bay Country Club on its annual spring break trip.
BW had a team total of 382 while Trine tallied a team total of 369.
In addition to Linnabary for the Yellow Jackets, junior Anna Schatschneider (Avon) carded a round of 92. Senior Grace Magee (Skaneateles, N.Y.) posted a round of 94. Junior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Emily Hunt (Marysville) tallied a round of 111. Rounding out the top five was sophomore Rachael Sladky (North Olmsted) with a round of 114.
Playing as individuals were sophomore Aubrey Baumler (Huron) and freshmen Mary Fraley (Cleveland/Mayfield) and Leah Metzger (Ashland). Metzger had the low individual round with a 103. Baumler and Fraley each had rounds of 127.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action for their final spring break tournament on Thursday, March 7 when they compete in the Weber International (Fla.) University Invitational at the Lake Wales Country Club.
