Edwards Named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 Women's Basketball Team

GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Baldwin Wallace University junior All-Ohio Athletic and Academic All-OAC women's basektabll forward Lilly Edwards (Dublin/Coffman) has named College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 7 first-team team for the first time in her career.

Edwards now moves on to the Academic All-America ballot, which will be announced on May 26

This season, she was a second-team D3hoops.com All-Great Lakes Region selection and a first-team All-OAC selection. Edwards led the team and the OAC in scoring and rebounding with career-highs of 18.1 points-per-game and 10.3 rebounds-per contest.  She was third on the team with a career-best 30 assists. In addition, recorded 17 steals and three blocks. 

For her career, Edwards has appeared in 69 games and has scored 862 points and grabbed 846 rebounds.   She ranks third in school history in points-per-game with 12.5 and is seventh on the school's all-time rebounds-per-contest list with 7.0. Edwards was also the OAC Freshman of the Year in 2019.   Off the court, she is a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.

BW finished the 2021 season with a record of 8-4 and third in the OAC with a mark of 8-4.   The Yellow Jackets advanced to the OAC Tournament Championship game for the second straight season.
