ACADEMIC MAJOR:   Early Childhood Education

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Audrey Smolik played four seasons of basketball at Baldwin Wallace University (2011-2015). She was BW's Clyde Lamb Award winner as the school's best female student-athlete in 2014-2015. She also finished 10th on the all-time Yellow Jacket scoring list.

ACADEMIC HONORS:  Audrey is BW's 2014-2015 female Clyde Lamb Award winner which is symbolic of the school's top female student-athlete. She also received the BW Leadership Award at the 2015 Student-Athletes Awards ceremony.

Audrey carried a 3.88 grade point average, was a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar. She also was a member of the Alpha Lambda, Chi Sigma Alpha, Dayton C. Miller, Kappa Delta Pi (education honorary), and Kappa Mu Epsilon (national mathematics honorary) honor societies.

As a sophomore, junior and senior, Audrey earned Academic All-OAC honors. As a seniuor, she also was tabed as a CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District 7 choice and appeared on the CAPITAL ONE Academic All-America ballot.

BW HONORS DAY:  As a senior in 2015, Audrey received an Outstanding Senior Award at Hionors Day.

OAC SCHOLAR-ATHLETE OF THE MONTH:  As a junior in 2013-2014, Audrey was named as the OAC Scholar-Athlete of the Month for January 2014.

1,000-POINT CLUB/ TOP-10 ALL-TIME:  Audrey became the 14th student-athlete in school history to surpass 1,000 career points. She did it versus Ohio Northern University on February 18, 2015. She ended her career 10th in career points with 1,090.

OUTSTANDING SENIOR FEMALE ATHLETE:  As a senior in 2014-2015, Audrey was named as BW's Outstanding Female Athlete.

ATHLETICS HONORS:  As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Audrey earned honorable mention All-OAC honors. She also was named as the OAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week. 

As a junior in 2013-2014, Audrey was named as the Most Valuable Player of the BW Invitational Tournament on November 23, 2013 and subsequently received her second OAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week award on Nov. 25.

As a senior in 2014-2015, Audrey was a third-team D3hoops.com All-Great Lakes Region, first-team All-OAC selection and the MVP of the 2015 OAC Tournament and a member of the OAC Tournament all-tournament team. She was named to the all-tourney team at the Second Annual BW Invitational. Audrey earned her third career OAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week Award on December 22, 2014.

GENERAL BASKETBALL INFORMATION:  Audrey Smolik is one of the best women's basketball student-athletes in the history of the University. She helped BW compile a 77-33 record with one OAC regular season co-title (2013-2014), one OAC Tournament title (2015) and two NCAA Division III National Tournament berths (2013-2014 and 2014-2015).

Individually, Audrey received numerous honors (see either above or below). She finished 10th all-time in school history in scoring with 1,090 points. She also grabbed 470 rebounds, passed for 94 assists, made 57 steals, blocked six shots and made 88 three-pointers. She shot 42.3 percent from the floor (401 of 949), including 88 of 251 three-pointers (35.1%), and made 200 of 248 foul shots for 80.6%.

As a freshman in 2011-2012, Audrey played her first season of basketball and earned her first letter. She came off the bench and appeared in 26 games. Audrey was fourth on the team in scoring at 6.2 ppg., grabbed 2.2 rpg, and shot 35.3 percent from three-point range (12-of-34 attempts). She scored a season-high 16 points in 50-47 victory at Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) University on Nov. 30, 2011. BW finished 17-10 overall.

As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Audrey played her second season of basketball and earned her second letter. She started all 25 games at guard and averaged 9.0 ppg., 4.5 rpg. with 23 assists, 19 three-pointers and 17 steals. She was named as the OAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her efforts in wins against John Carroll University and Marietta College. She scored a career-high 24 points versus Marietta on Feb. 9, 2013. Audrey was both an Academic All-OAC and an honorable mention All-OAC selection. BW finished 16-9 overall.

As a junior in 2013-2014, Audrey played her third season of basketball and earned her third letter. She started 27 of 28 games at forward and averaged a career-high 11.9 ppg. with 4.1 rpg., 29 three-pointers, 22 assists and 15 steals. Audrey was named as the OAC Scholar-Athlete of the Month for January 2014. She also named as the the Most Valuable Player of the BW Invitational Tournament on November 23, 2013 (BW won the team title). She had her second career double-double in an 80-62 championship game win versus No.12-ranked Calvin (Mich.) College. For her efforts versus Case Western Reserve University and in the BW Invitational tourney, Audrey earned her second OAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor. She also led the Yellow Jackets to the OAC regular season co-title and into the "Sweet 16" of the 2014 NCAA Division III National Tournament. BW finished 22-7 overall.

As a senior in 2014-2015, Audrey played her fourth season of basketball and earned her fourth varsity letter. She a team captain for the third straight year. She was a third-team D3hoops.com All-Great Lakes Region and first-team All-OAC selection, the Most Valuable Player and member of the OAC Tournament All-Tournament team. Audrey also was Academic All-OAC for the third straight year and was tabbed to the CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District 7 squad. She was named to the all-tourney team at the Second Annual BW Invitational. She earned her third career OAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week on December 22, 2014 for her efforts in wins versus Marietta and Wilmington College. Audrey became the 14th student-athlete in school history to surpass 1,000 career points. She did it versus Ohio Northern on Feb. 18, 2015. Audrey led the team in scoring at 13.2 ppg. and grabbed 6.6 rpg. (second). She had career-highs of 35 assists and five blocked shots, tied a career-high with 17 steals and tied forv second with 28 three-pointers. Audrey led the Yellow Jackets to a 22-7 record, an OAC Tournament title and an NCAA Division III Tournament berth.

OTHER CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS ON CAMPS:  Audrey also belongs to Athletes-in-Action and the Teaching Together groups.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:   Audrey Smolik grew up in Strongsville, Ohio and graduated from Strongsville High School in 2011. She competed in basketball for four years and earned four varsity letters.

As a sophomore, Audrey earned honorable mention All-Northeast Ohio Conference honors. As a junior, Audrey earned first-team All-Conference and first-team All-Sun Newspapers accolades. As a senior, Audrey earned honorable mention OHSAA (Ohio High School Athletic Association) All-State, first-team All-NOC and first-team All-Sun Newspapers honors.

Academically, Audrey was an Academic Scholar, a member of the National Honors Society and a member of the Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society.
