CROSS COUNTRY INFORMATION:  Jason Young will compete in his second seasons of cross country and track at Baldwin Wallace University in 2013-2014. He has earned one varsity letter in cross country and one Certificate of Participation for his efforts in track.

 Jason enters his sophomore season as one of six returning second-year runners looking to improve on the Yellow Jackets 31-53 record last season. Look for Jason to also improve on his personal-best marks and earn his second varsity letter.

As a freshman in 2012-2013, Jason competed in his first season of cross country and earned his first varisty letter. His best 8K race time came at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble with a time of 28:27.70 when he placed 236th out of 275 total runners. Jason also participated in the season-ending Ohio Athletic Conference Championships where he finished 108h out of 147 total runners with a mark of 29:07.5.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, is competed in his second season of cross country and earned his second varsity letter. Jason competed in the All-Ohio Intercollegiate Championship meet where he placed 123rd out of 143 runners with a time of 31:45.43.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Jason grew up in Parma, Ohio and graduated from Normandy High School. He ran track for four years, cross country for three years, and was on the swim team for four years.

In swimming, Jason was selected All-NOC for all four seasons and was nominated NOC MVP during his senior season.  In cross country, he was chosen All-NOC for three seasons, and in track and field, Jason received All-Academic NOC honors.

Academically, Jason received Highest Honors (2008-2012) and Magna Cum Laude (2011-2012). He also graduated with honors (2012).
