BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team dropped their Seniors' Day game to Otterbein University in an Ohio Athletic Conference match by a final score of 1-0 on the Tressel Field inside George Finnie Stadium.
Prior to the start of the game, BW honored five senior student-athletes, defender Anthony Cora (North Olmsted / Benedictine), Academic All-OAC midfielder Alex Gibson (Olmsted Township / Olmsted Falls), defender CJ Kessler (Madison), forward Julian Kieres (Lakewood), and forward Michael Tusick (Strongsville).
BW Leaders (7-8-2, 3-3-1 OAC)
- Sophomore goalkeeper Sam Cipriano (Massillon / Jackson) recorded three saves
- Senior forward Julian Kieres (Lakewood) made four shots with two on goal
Otterbein Leaders (10-2-3, 6-0-1 OAC)
- Freshman midfielder Andrew Rudesill scored the game-winning goal in the first half
- Junior forward Nick Isaac provided the assist for Rudesill's goal
First Half
- The Yellow Jackets outshot Otterbein 5-4
- Otterbein won the corner kick battle by a 2-1 margin
- BW and Otterbein had two saves each
Second Half
- Otterbein outshot the Yellow Jackets 5-4
- BW made four corners on Otterbein's three
- Otterbein recorded two saves
BW is back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 25 as it travels to Ohio Northern University for an OAC contest inside Kerscher Stadium at 7 p.m.
