Men’s Team Finishes Sixth at the John Carroll Invitational

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OHIO --  The Baldwin-Wallace College men's golf team finished sixth today (Monday, April 2, 2012) at the John Carroll University Invitational Tournament hosted at the Shaker Heights Country Club. This was the third spring event for the men and the second up north.

B-W totalled 335 strokes to place sixth on the par-71 and 6,325-yard Shaker Heights C.C. layout.  
In terms of team play (the top four of five scores count toward the team total), junior Stephen Spalding (Stow/ Walsh Jesuit) shot the low round of the day with a 79. He was followed by senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Ricky Jaskolski (North Royalton/ Parma Padua Fransiscan) with an 83, senior Matt Warren (Copley) with an 85, sophomore Chris Nader (Westlake) with an 88 and sophomore Augie Ward (Medina/ Walsh Jesuit) with an 89.

Individually, freshman Adam Sanders (Fairview Park/ Fairview) carded an 82, freshmen Andy Ingram (Vermilion) and Cody Lyon (Wadsworth/ Medina Highland) each had an 84 and senior Kyle Lewis (Riverside, Calif./ Riverside Poly) had an 86.

The Yellow Jackets return to action this Saturday and Sunday, April 7-8 when they participate at the annual Denison University Invitational Tournament at the Granville Country Club.
