Collier Awarded First Career OAC Indoor Women's Track Athlete of the Week Honor

WESTERVILLE, Ohio - Baldwin Wallace University junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference runner Abby Collier (Dublin / Coffman) has been selected as the OAC Track Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career.

The Yellow Jackets traveled to the Third Jud Logan Light Giver Open, hosted by Ashland University on Saturday. Collier earns her first honor of the season and the second of her career after finishing the 200-meter dash in a time of 25.29 and the 400-meter dash elite in a time of 56.68. Collier is currently ranked fifth in the nation in the 400-meter as she broke a 33 year-old BW indoor record, previously set by Benita Thomas in 1991.

Last year, Collier was awarded All-OAC honors twice in the indoor and outdoor championships.

Off of the field, she is a Dean's List student.

The Yellow Jackets return to the track on Friday, Feb. 9 as they host the Mid-February Meet on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse.
