Women's Swimming and Diving Remains in Fourth Place After Day Two of OAC Championships

AKRON, Ohio -  The Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving team stand in fourth place on day two of the OAC Championships hosted by Mount Union at University of Akron inside Ocasek Natatorium.

The Yellow Jackets individual highlights included:

  • Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference performer Kayla McClintock (Venetia, Pa. / Peters Township) placed third in the 400-yard individual medley in a time of 4:48.06.

This is McClintock's second career All-OAC honors.

  • Freshman All-OAC Mallory Dondorfer (Mentor) finished fourth the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:57.30.
  • Sophomore Tia Reed (Bluffton, S.C.) won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:08.18.

Reed earned All-OAC honors, making it her first in her career.

  • Junior All-OAC performer Julia Newbould (Strongsville) placed sixth in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:01.53. 

BW relays were highlighted by:

  • The 200-yard freestyle squad of Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference performer Bella Ratino (Mentor/Hawken), Reed, Newbould, and Dondorfer placed fourth in a time of 1:52.17

The Yellow Jackets are back in action tomorrow for the last day of the OAC Championships at University of Akron inside Ocasek Natatorium. Preliminary action begins each day at 10 a.m. with finals at 5:30 p.m.
