BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team fell to the University of Mount Union in an Ohio Athletic Conference game by a final score of 2-1 on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium.

BW (9-9, 4-4 OAC) controlled the first half. They came out firing and didn't slow down. The Yellow Jackets outshot Mount Union (10-5-1, 6-2 OAC) 15-6. The Yellow Jackets controlled the rest of the half but could not finish the opportunities and they took a 1-0 lead into halftime.

In the second half, the Purple Raiders turned their intensity up creating a handful of opportunities. However, the Yellow Jackets were also able to create great chances. Mount Union was the team that capitalized on the opportunities. Scoring off a penalty kick was sophomore midfielder Molly Eubanks at the 52 minute mark. Later in the half, junior midfielder Andrea Decker hit the back of the net to give the Purple Raiders a 2-1 lead. The Yellow Jackets continued to battle and get opportunities but were not able to finish any before the final whistle.

In the goal for BW, was freshman goalkeeper Katie Scott (Lewis Center/Olentangy) who made two saves on the four shots she faced.

The yellow Jackets return to the pitch on Saturday, October 30 when they travel to Marietta to take on Marietta College in an OAC game at 4:00 p.m. on the Marietta Field.
