ADRIAN, Mich. – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team fell to non-conference opponent Adrian College (Mich.) by a final score of 2-0 inside Docking Stadium.

BW (3-5) got off to a fast start when sophomore forward Kasey Golaboff (Parma Heights/Valley Forge) took the first shot of the match, but it went wide. As the rain picked up, both teams fought for possession and opportunities on goal. The Yellow Jackets outshot Adrian (5-4) 6-3 but neither side was successful. The half ended 0-0.

The Bulldogs put on the heat in the second half and sophomore midfielder Morgan Wands scored the first goal of the match three minutes after the start. The Yellow Jackets fought to catch up, but the Bulldogs were able to extend their lead with a second goal 20 minutes later. Senior forward McKenna Mahoney was able to capitalize on the chance. The match ended 2-0 in favor of the Bulldogs.

In the net for BW was freshman goalie Katie Scott (Lewis Center/Olentangy) who had four saves on the total nine shots she faced.

The Yellow Jackets will be back in action on Saturday, September 25th when they travel to Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania for a non-conference match against Geneva College at 1:00 P.M. on Reeves Field.
