Five Women’s Lacrosse Athletes Selected to All-OAC Team

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Five Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse athletes have been selected to the 2022 All-Ohio Athletic Conference teams as voted by the coaches in the league. 

Senior midfielder Sid Chamberlin (Wooster), senior goalkeeper Ashleigh Hildreth (North Tonawanda, N.Y./Sweet Home), senior midfielder Maddie Ray (Cuyahoga Falls/Richfield Revere) and junior midfielder Kaitlyn Hradek (Olmsted Township/Olmsted Falls) were all selected to the second team. Sophomore midfielder Deanna Loukas (Tuckahoe, N.Y./Eastchester) was selected as an honorable mention.

Chamberlin earns her first career All-OAC honors after having a career year. She was fourth on the team with a career-best 26 goals, she led the team with a career-best 26 assists, she was second on the team with 52 points and she tied her career-best with 15 ground balls. 

For her career, Chamberlin has appeared in 51 games and made 48 starts. She finished her career with 45 goals and 34 assists for 79 points. She also scored nine free-position goals. On the defensive side, she collected 28 ground balls, caused 19 turnovers, and has 12 draw controls.

Hildreth earns her third career All-OAC honors and her first selection to the second team. This season, Hildreth led the team with six wins and the led the OAC with a school record 160 saves this season. She led the team with a .417 save percentage and had a career-best 58 ground balls and nine caused turnovers.

In her career, Hildreth owns the school records for goalkeeper starts in a season as a freshman, goalkeeper starts in a career, goalkeeper minutes played in a season, goalkeeper minutes played in a season as a freshman, career goalkeeper minutes played, goalkeeper wins in a season as a freshman, saves in a game, saves in a season, saves in a season as a freshman, career saves, save percentage as a freshman and goals against average as a freshman. Hildreth appeared in 70 games and made 69 starts. She played a career 3,203:11 minutes and made 532 saves. She averaged 13.06 goals allowed and a .433 save percentage.

Ray earns her second consecutive second team honors. This season, she was named OAC Offensive Player of the Week on February 21 for her six-goal performance in the season opener. She was second on the team with 34 goals and second on the team with a career-best 14 assists. She was third on the team with a career-best 48 points. She was for the team lead with a career-best eight free-position goals. She also fifth on the team with 20 draw controls, she collected 15 ground balls and was third on the team with a career-best 13 caused turnovers.

For her career, Ray has appeared in 54 games and made 51 starts. She is third on the all-time leaderboard with 122 goals and fifth on the all-time leaderboard with 34 assists for 156 points, which is good for fifth on the all-time leaderboards. She scored 21 free-position goals and collected 65 draw controls. On the defensive side, she collected 54 ground balls and caused 33 turnovers.

Hradek earns her first All-OAC honors with her second team selection. On the year, Hradek appeared in 17 games and made 16 startsShe was third on the team with a career-best 28 goals and had a career-best five assists. She was fourth on the team with a career-best 33 points. Hradek was tied for the team lead with eight free-position goals. She led the team with a career-best 56 draw controls, she was third on the team with 24 ground balls and fourth on the team with 12 caused turnovers.

In her career, Hradek has played in 37 games and made 33 starts. She has scored 51 goals and dished out eight assists for 59 points. She has scored 11 free-position goals and has 74 draw controls. On the defensive side, she has collected 50 ground balls and caused 30 turnovers. 

Loukas earns her second straight All-OAC honors as she gets honorable mention honors this season. She led the team with a career-best 44 goals and was third on the team with a career-best eight assists. She led the team with a career-best 52 points and was tied for the team-lead with eight free-position goals. She was second on the team with career-best tying 40 draw controls and a career-best 38 ground balls and she led the team with a career-best 22 caused turnovers.

In her career, Loukas has appeared and started 31 games. She has scored 70 goals and has 13 assists for 83 points. She has scored 10 free-position goals and collected 80 draw controls. On the defensive side, she has 75 ground balls and 42 caused turnovers.

BW finished the season with a trip to the OAC Quarterfinals and a 6-11 record with a 4-4 mark in the OAC.
