BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team stands second of four teams after the first day of the two-day and 36-hole Heidelberg University Fall Invitational Tournament at the Mohawk Golf Club in Tiffin. The second round will be played tomorrow, Sunday, September 27, 2009.
The Yellow Jackets carded a first day 397 total and trailed first round leader Ohio Northern University.
Individually, freshman Brooke Hamilton (Cleveland/ St. Joseph Academy) led the way with an 88. She was followed by freshman Rebecca Kapusta (Independence) with a 95, junior Nicole Carlone (Canton/ Louisville St. Thomas Aquinas) with a 106, sophomore Caci Lewandowski (Sharon Center/ Medina Highland) with a 108 and freshman Emily Eighmy (Erie, Pa./ Villa Maria Academy) carded a 120.
In addition and playing as individuals, junior Sam Migalski (Manahawkin, N.J./ Southern Regional) carded a 104 and freshman Sarah Terrill (Cuyahoga Falls/ Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy) had a 109.
Following the Heidelberg tourney, the BW women will end their fall season when they travel; to Erie, Pennsylvania to compete at the two-day and 36-hole Gannon University Fall Tournament at the Lakeside Country Club on October 3-4.
