Softball Honors Three Senior Student-Athletes

BEREA, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University Athletic Department and softball program would like to congratulate senior student-athletes Amanda Crisler, Kayla Lorenzo and Ashley Matousek on completing their outstanding athletic careers at the University.

The University administration, faculty and staff congratulates these three young women on their outstanding athletic and academic careers as well as their leadership to the softball program. The University would like to wish each of them all the best of luck in their future endeavors and hope that even after graduation that they come back and visit us often. They will always be a Yellow Jacket for Life (YJ4L).

Crisler was an early education major from Lorain, Ohio and a graduate of Amherst High School. She was a three-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference outfielder, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Dayton C. Miller and Chi Sigma Alpha honoraries. Crisler's favorite softball memories were the spring break trips to Arizona and playing in the OAC Tournament as a freshman. After graduation, she plans to become an elementary teacher and intervention specialist in the Cleveland area.  Crisler is the daughter of Loren and Cindy Crisler of Lorain.

 

 

 

Lorenzo was a finance major from Chagrin Falls, Ohio and a graduate of West Geauga High School.  Lorenzo's favorite softball memory was the dance battle during a rain delay at the OAC Tournament as a freshman.  After graduation, she plans to pursue her Master's in business administration at BW.  Lorenzo is the daughter of Nick and Gina Lorenzo of Chagrin Falls.

 

 

 

 

  

Matousek was an exercise science major from Sagamore Hills, Ohio and a graduate of Akron Archbishop Hoban High School. She was a twot-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC designated player and outfielder, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Sigma Alpha Honor Society.  Matousek's favorite softball memories were stealing Ohio Northern's cheers with Kayla and Maranda, beating them and then advancing to the OAC Tournament semifinals as a freshman.  After graduation, she will attend Walsh University to earn her Master's in occupational therapy.  Matousek is the daughter of Rick and Lisa Matousek of Sagamore Hills.
