Pfeiffer Receives First Career OAC Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week Accolade

WESTERVILLE, Ohio - Baldwin Wallace University junior All-American high jumper Christian Pfeiffer (Amherst) has been selected as the OAC Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career.

BW traveled to the 14th Ashland Alumni Open, hosted by NCAA Division II Ashland University on Saturday. Pfeiffer earns the first honor of his career after winning the high jump with a height of 6 feet and 11 inches. Pfeiffer's high jump broke a 47 year-old BW outdoor record that was previously tied by three student-athletes. His mark of 2.11 meters puts him in sole possession of No. 1 in the nation. This is Pfeiffer's fourth consecutive high jump win.

This year, Pfeiffer was named the 2024 NCAA Division III Indoor High Jump Champion. He was also awarded All-OAC honors after winning the high jump in the indoor championships.

Off of the field, he is a Jacket Scholar and Dean's List student.

The Yellow Jackets return to the track on Thursday, May 2 as they compete in day one of the Ohio Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships hosted by Heidelberg University.
