Horvath Earns First Career OAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week Honor

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference men's tennis player Will Horvath (Oregon/Clay) has been named the OAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the first time in his career.

Horvath earns his weekly honor after leading BW to a 4-2 record during its spring break trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Horvath was undefeated at second singles with a record of 3-0.  He teamed up with junior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC performer Matt McGee (Ottawa Hills) to go 4-2 at first doubles.

This season, Horvath has a record of 8-3 in singles play and an undefeated 7-0 record in dual singles matches.  He and McGee are 17-4 in doubles action with a 7-3 mark in dual action.

For his career, Horvath has a singles record of 24-5 with a 21-2 dual match record.  He is 30-7 in doubles play with a 20-6 dual doubles record.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Sunday, March 24 when it travels to downtown Cleveland for a non-conference match against NCAA Division I Cleveland State University at the Medical Mutual Tennis Center at 6 p.m.
