McGee Earns First Career OAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week Award

WESTERVILLE, Ohio - Baldwin Wallace University sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Matt McGee (Ottawa Hills) has been named the OAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the first time in his career.

McGee earns his first weekly honor after helping lead BW to an undefeated 4-0 record with 9-0 victories over Thomas (Maine) College, Johnson and Wales (N.C.) University and Brevard (N.C.) College as well as a 7-2 win over Roanoke (Va.) College.

On the week, he was 3-0 at first singles he would only loss four games in his six sets. McGee teamed up with teammate senior All-OAC player Trey Kernan (Penfield N.Y.) to win all four matches at first doubles.

On the season, McGee is 8-1 at both first singles and doubles.

For his career, McGee has a record of 21-6 in singles play and a mark of 23-5 in doubles action.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Sunday, March 19 when they travel to Albion, Michigan for a non-conference match against Albion College at 12 p.m.
