Byerly Garners First Men’s Lacrosse OAC Offensive Player of the Week Honors

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference attacker/midfielder Kyler Byerly (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) earned his first career OAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week honors.

Byerly picks up the honor after a week in which he scored seven goal and added two assists for nine points. He also collected four ground balls and caused two turnovers. On Wednesday, March 16th he picked up his career-high for goals scored in a game against Allegheny (Pa.) College with five goals. He followed that up with a four-point performance in an overtime victory against Transylvania (Ky.) University as he hit the back of the net twice and dished out two assists.

On the season, he leads the team with 14 goals and 19 points. He is second on the team with five assists. He also has collected seven ground balls and caused three turnovers.

The Yellow Jackets return to the field Wednesday, March 23rd when the team hosts their final non-conference game against Chatham (Pa.) College on the Tressel Field inside George Finnie Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
