Six Men's Lacrosse Student-Athletes Selected to 2020 Academic All-OAC Team

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Six Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse student-athletes have been selected on the 2020 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

In order to be selected to the Academic All-OAC team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA).

Junior midfielder Jimmy Brown (Canfield/Cardinal Mooney), junior goalkeeper Trent Davis (Ottawa Hills), junior midfielder Carson Howatt (Dexter, Mich.), junior midfielder Nick Nanosky (Medina), junior defender Matthew Rodenhouse (Pittsford, N.Y./Mendon), and sophomore midfielder John Schulte (Grosse Pointe, Mich./South) are six of 45 Yellow Jacket student-athletes to be recognized this spring.

Brown, who earns his second consecutive Academic All-OAC honor, is a biology and neuroscience double major carrying a 3.52 GPA. He is also a Dean's List student. For his career, Brown has appeared in 26 games, recording five goals and five assists for 10 points, including 28 ground balls and seven caused turnovers.

Davis, who earns his second consecutive Academic All-OAC honor, is a biology and chemistry double major carrying a 3.96 GPA. He is a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar, and member of the Alpha Lambda Delta and Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Societies. For his career, Davis has appeared in 18 games with 11 starts, recording a 9-2 record, 77 saves, 10.92 goals against average, and .456 save percentage. He is currently ranked third in both games started at goalkeeper and wins, fourth in minutes played at goalkeeper, and fifth in saves on the program's all-time career leaderboards.

Howatt, who earns his second consecutive Academic All-OAC honor, is a sport management and pre-law double major carrying a 3.86 GPA. He is a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar, and member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. For his career, Howatt has appeared in 26 games, recording two goals and two assists for four points, including 33 ground balls, seven caused turnovers, and one faceoff win.

Nanosky, who earns his second consecutive Academic All-OAC honor, is a biology and pre-physical therapy double major carrying a 3.92 GPA. He is a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar, and member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. Athletically, he is a 2019 All-OAC honorable mention selection. For his career, Nanosky has appeared in 35 games, recording 28 goals and 21 assists for 49 points, including 43 ground balls, 11 caused turnovers, and 26 faceoff wins. He is currently ranked eighth in both faceoff wins and faceoffs taken on the program's all-time career leaderboards.

Rodenhouse, who earns his second consecutive Academic All-OAC honor, is a biology and sustainability double major carrying a 3.59 GPA. He is also a Dean's List student. Athletically, he is a two-time All-OAC selection. For his career, Rodenhouse has appeared in 30 games, recording 45 ground balls, and 19 caused turnovers.

Schulte, who earns his first career Academic All-OAC honor, is a chemistry major carrying a 3.51 GPA. He is also a Dean's List student. For his career, Schulte has appeared in 19 games, recording 14 goals and three assists for 17 points, including five ground balls and four caused turnovers.
