BEREA, Ohio – Under the direction of head coach Wayne Schneider, the Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team is set to compete for the Ohio Athletic Conference title in 2023-24.

Coach Schneider, who is in his 11th season, returns six letterwinners and two Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference performers from last year's squad that finished seventh at the OAC Championships.

Headlining the returners are senior Academic All-OAC golfer Ryan Green (Conneaut/Edgewood), junior Logan Cook (Berea/Berea-Midpark) and junior Academic All-OAC golfer Christian Miller (North Lawrence/Tuslaw).

Green returns as the top golfer in average after finishing third on the squad a season ago with an 81.89.  Cook is the second leading average returner with a career-low 84.10, which was good for fourth a year ago.  Miller was fifth a season ago with an 84.67 average.

Senior Trevor Mackey (Brunswick), junior Brandon Eddy (Lewis Center/Olentangy) and sophomore Zach Hritz (Columbia Station/Columbia) will look to crack into the starting lineup this season.

BW opens the fall portion of its schedule on Saturday and Sunday, September 2 and 3 when it travels to Dover to compete in the Gatorade Collegiate Invitational hosted by The College of Wooster at the Zoar Village Golf Course.  The Yellow Jackets host the annual BW Fall Invitational on September 10 at the Pine Hills Golf Club.

The 2024 spring season begins with the annual spring break trip on March 3-10.
