Men’s Golf Finishes Third at Malone Fall Invitational

ALLIANCE, Ohio –The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team finished in third place at the Malone University Fall Invitational at the Tannenhauf Golf Club.

BW was third of seven teams with a two-day total of 613on the par-72 and 6,694-yard  Tannenhauf layout. NCAA Division II West Liberty University was the champion with 594 strokes.  NCAA Division II and host Malone was second with 603 strokes.

The Yellow Jackets were led by senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference golfer Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted), who is this week's Co-OAC Men's Golfer of the Week, and senior Ben Ladaika (Erie, Pa./Erie Cathedral Prep) as the dou finished tied for ninth of 54 golfers with an invitational total of 152. Clark fired rounds of 74 and 78 and Ladaika carded rounds of 81 and 71.  Sophomore Logan Bratsch (Olmsted Falls), who is this week's Co-OAC Men's Golfer of the Week, carded rounds of 80 and 74 for a two-day total of 154.  Junior Jared Budner (Macedonia/Nordonia) posted rounds of 77 and 79 for a two-round total of 156. Rounding out the top five was sophomore Dylan Boff (Broadview Heights/North Royalton) with rounds of 80 and 79 for a total of 159

Playing as an individual, sophomore Steven Newbould (Parma/Valley Forge) posted rounds of 79 and 83 for a two-round total of 162.

BW is back in action on Saturday, September 14 when it travels to West Lafayette to compete in the 27-hole Rumble on the River hosted by John Carroll University at the River Greens Golf Course.   The Yellow Jackets then travel to Shaker Heights on Monday, September 16 to compete in the John DiCillo Invitational at the Shaker Heights Country Club.
