Stephen Spalding Named OAC Men’s Golfer Player of the Week

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and number one men's golfer Stephen Spalding (Stow/ Walsh Jesuit) was named as this week's (Sept. 10-16) OAC Men's Golfer-of-the-Week.

Spalding earned the honor for firing an even-par 71 en route a runner-up individual finish at the season-opening Pat Flowers Invitational hosted by John Carroll at the Shaker Heights Country Club on Monday, September 10.

The 71 tied career-low for Spalding which he set a year earlier at the the Pat Flowers Invitational and would tie again at the 2012 OAC Championship Tournament (second of four rounds).

Last season, Spalding earned All-OAC honors by placing fourth individually at the OAC Championship Tournament. He led the Yellow Jackets in stroke average at 77.79 strokes per round.
