Men’s Golf Team is Seventh After Day One of OAC Invite

SUNBURY, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team stands in seventh place today (Monday, April 15, 2013) after the first day of competition at the annual Ohio Athletic Conference Spring Invitational Tournament at the Rattlesnake Ridge Golf Club in Sunbury, Ohio.  Otterbein University is the host school.  The second and final day of the event will be played on Tuesday.

The Yellow Jackets carded a first day total of 339 strokes on the par-72 and 7,012-yard Rattlesnake Ridge layout.

Individually, sophomore Adam Sanders (Fairview Park) and junior Augie Ward (Medina/ Walsh Jesuit) tied for the low round with 82s. They were followed by sophomore Cody Lyon (Wadsworth/ Medina Highland) with an 85, junior Chris Nader (Westlake) with a 90 and sophomore Andy Ingram (Vermilion) with a 95.

Playing as an individual was freshman Connor Duplin (North Canton/ Louisville St. Thomas Aquinas) carded a 90.

BW returns to action next weekend, Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21, when it travels to Wooster, Ohio to compete in the season-ending The College of Wooster Spring Invitational Tournament at the Wooster Country Club.
