BW Men’s Golf Places 10th at Nye Intercollegiate

WOOSTER, OHIO -- Sophomore Adam Sanders (Fairview Park/ Fairview) carded a second-round total of 79 strokes and finished with 155 total today (Sunday, April 21, 2013) to lead the Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team to a 10th place finish among 16 teams in the season-ending Nye Intercollegiate hosted by The College of Wooster at Wooster Country Club.

BW tallied 342 strokes in the second round and finished with a two-round total of 671 at the par-72 and 6,545-yard layout, 62 strokes behind tournament champion Wittenberg University.

In addition to Sanders, who came in a tie for fourth place overall, junior Augie Ward (Medina/ Walsh Jesuit) tallied 86 strokes on the second day and finished in 53rd place overall with 171.  Junior Chris Nader (Westlake) matched Ward with 171 total strokes after firing an 85 today.  Sophomore Cody Lyon (Wadsworth/ Medina Highland) carded a 92 and tied for 70th with 176 strokes.  Freshman Connor Duplin (North Canton/ St. Thomas Aquinas) shot 90 and had 187 total strokes to place 84th overall.

The Yellow Jackets expect to return seven of their eight players for the 2013-14 campaign.
